Baseball workouts for today have been cancelled. They will resume Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Baseball:
Blacksburg Baseball preseason workouts will start at the baseball field on Monday, January 9th at 3:45. Students should bring cleats, tennis shoes, and a glove to the practices. The dates for the workouts are as follows:
January 9-12th
January 17th & 18th
January 23rd & 24th
The workouts will run 3:45-5pm.
Tryouts for baseball start January 30th .
BMS - 3:45
BHS - 5:15
In the event of rain practice may be moved or cancelled. Students should pay attention to announcements.
Football:
Blacksburg Football afterschool off season workouts will begin Monday, January 9th at 3:45 in the BHS weight room. Students who are interested in playing football in 2023 should bring tennis shoes and be appropriately dressed to lift weights and run. We will have workouts Monday-Wednesday every week until further notice. The workouts will go run from 3:45-4:45. Students should meet under the awning between the BHS gym and the high school to meet with coaches. Students can be picked up from the BHS gym parking lot.
8th grade students will be visiting the Institute of Innovation on Thursday, January 19th. Permission forms were sent home with students. Please sign and return your student's form this week so that they will be able to participate in this fun educational opportunity.

THE BOOK FAIR HAS ARRIVED!!!
Due to impending weather on Friday, the Varsity football game at Ninety Six High School has been moved from Friday to Thursday, 7pm kickoff. Most schools are doing this or already have. This will also change our home JV football game from Thursday to Wednesday, 6pm. Middle School football will also play at Landrum on Wednesday instead of Thursday, 5:30.
Tickets for Varsity game at Ninety Six will be through GoFan and I will send out info once I get it from them. -Robbie Blanton

With less than 40 hours until our trip to Nashville to compete against students all across the nation we want to thank everyone who has ever supported and believed in us. If this year hasn’t been a testament that you can do anything if you try then I don’t know what has. We want to also think the school district and businesses that have funded all of our adventures towards helping Cherokee County be the healthiest it can be! Here’s to attempting to be the nation’s top 10!
